That's the part writers sometimes miss: the romantic skeleton can be remarkably similar while everything the audience experiences is different.

And suddenly two romances built on remarkably similar structural bones feel nothing alike.

That's why structure is not story.

Structure is the framework that holds the love story together.

The story comes from the thousands of creative choices made inside that framework.

• Your characters are different.
• Your setting is different.
• Your romantic leads have different histories, wounds, goals and desires.
• Your attraction and chemistry develop differently.
• Your relationship obstacles are different.
• Your emotional turning points can develop differently.
• Your voice, tone, heat level, pacing and scene construction are different.
• Your interpretation of the Story Architect's output is different.
• And every decision you make while drafting changes the finished novel again.
